One craft
Three Generations
Sika Design is a true family company led by third generation owner Louise Andreasen. The story of Sika Design began in 1942, when Ankjær Andreasen produced his first collection of small interior pieces crafted from rush and willow. From those early beginnings, the family has continued to build on his legacy of thoughtful design and enduring craft.
In 1983, Ankjær’s son Knud Andreasen took over the company, with Ankjær continuing his daily inspections until his passing in 1997. Beginning in 1996, Louise and Knud worked side by side to guide Sika Design into a new chapter, shaping its growth while staying closely rooted in the values and craftsmanship that defined its origins.
In 2013, Louise Andreasen became CEO of Sika Design. Knud remains actively involved in the company, continuing to pass on the culture, knowledge, and heritage that have shaped Sika Design across generations.
